ACRA 2024 Golf Tournament

The golf tournament follows a scramble format.  In a Scramble tournament each foursome golfer tees off on every hole. After the initial tee shots, the foursome selects the best shot out of their teammates and then each team member plays their next shot from that spot. This continues throughout the rest of the shots on the hole including putting. A player is allowed to place the ball within one club length of the spot of the best shot, but not nearer to the hole
Golfers are asked to arrive one half hour before their scheduled start times.
The tournament will use a crossover start. In this case foursomes begin on holes 1 and 10 simultaneously.

Competitions

On par 3 holes #12, #14, #15, the closest to the hole wins $50 and the second closest $25
On par 3 #4 each golfer that lands on the green from the tee gets a chance to win a bottle of Jameson whiskey.

Low net Women, Men and Mixed: each member of the foursomes win a bottle of wine. Scorecards must be properly completed and handed in to Kevin Marciniak.

Play the Ball: Each foursome gets a numbered golf ball. This ball must be played by one member of the foursome for a complete hole. After each hole the ball is given to the next member for play. This format continues until the round of golf is complete. If the ball is still in play at the end of the round it must be returned to Kevin Marciniak for a chance to win 4 bottles of wine.

Tiers: All scorecards will be sorted numerically and divided into four tiers. One foursome will be selected from each tier and win $100.

Door Prizes

Every golfer will receive a prize, compliments of ACRA. Additional prizes are available. An ACRA volunteer will go to each table. Each golfer will choose a ticket from a container. If the ticket has a number, the golfer can claim the prize corresponding to that number. Some of the tickets are marked with an “X” – this, unfortunately, indicates that there is no corresponding prize.

Raffle Prizes

Tickets will be on sale at registration and dinner for a raffle of special prizes. The cost is $5 each, 3 for $10 or an arm’s length of tickets for $20. The winners will receive a prize from the raffle table. All the proceeds will go to the ST. Gabriel Food Bank. Please be generous.

Cancellation Procedures 2024

If there is a decision to cancel the tournament due to weather conditions, the management of Napierville will make this decision by 9:00 am on Friday, July 5, 2024. The notice will be posted on the ACRA website (https://acracan.org) on the tournament link shortly thereafter. If the management cancels the tournament, all players will receive rain checks that must be used during the 2024 golf season. The meal will be served around 7:00 pm to players who choose to attend. There are no rebates for players who choose not to partake of the meal as ACRA is responsible for the total number of meals for players registered as per the standard tournament contracts signed with golf course.
