Wednesday Golf

One of the many activities for ACRA members is Wednesday Golf. Beginning in
May and running until mid-October, weather permitting, between 24 to 32
golfers enjoy a round of golf with friends and former colleagues followed by
a supper.
Each week, our Commish, challenges the golfers with a competion event. Examples are: Fewest Putts, Fairways Hit, On the Green , Calcutta and closest to the pin. Also a record of each golfer's scores are kept. These scores determine the winner of the Commissioner's Cup and the ACRA Championship.
The points golfers earn from their scores are determined by their handicap which is calculated each week. Golf Website

Carravelo Cycling Club

The Carravelo Cycling Club began in 1995 and has been going strong ever since. It organizes weekly bike trips around the Montreal area throughout the cycling season.
In keeping with the personal inclination of each member, any excursion can be modified to be as long or as short as he/she desires.
The prime objective of the club is to provide an outlet for moderate physical activity in a safe and enjoyable environment.
A number of non-cycling social activities are held throughout the year to enhance the “esprit de corps” of the group.
The club also donates a bicycle with a lock and helmet to a deserving underprivileged youngster each year.
Anyone interested in more information or taking a ride with the group is asked to contact Len Tynan at lentynan@videotron.ca

ACRA Bowling

The ACRA bowling group has been around for about 5 decades. Retired administrators would get together twice a week and enjoy the game and socialization at Boulevard Lanes. Within the last 15 years or so, the group was forced to move their activity to a bowling alley in Ville D'Anjou and a few years later switch to Centre de Quilles 440 in Laval. Yet again, in April of 2023 our venue needed to change. We are now bowling once a week at Laurentian Lanes (222 Montee De Liesse).
Our group is known as REBL (Retired Educators' Bowling League). Retired educators and their friends are welcome to enjoy a set of 3 games on Tuesday mornings from early October to late April. The members enjoy a pleasurable morning of exercise, fun and friendship. The cost is presently 15$ /week. Your own 10-pin ball and shoes are recommended but not necessary. We have our own website which is set up mainly for its members to keep tabs on their own stats.
